"IDT has attended the Asia Pacific Carriers' Conference every year since it?s inception in 2005. Our primary reasons for attending the conference were threefold: 1) we viewed it as an efficient and effective means for meeting with our Carrier Partners from the region; 2) it provided a good opportunity for connecting with old friends and colleagues in the industry; and 3) we believed this would be a good forum for discussing industry issues and developments.
The thing we liked most about the ACC was that we were able to meet with a selected group of telecom professionals all in one place. We also found the atmosphere to be quite conducive to conducting effective business - relaxed yet organized.
IDT has benefitted from attending the ACC in several ways. We were able to conduct many substantive meetings in a condensed timeframe. The timing of the ACC "September/October also worked out well, as it bridged a gap between the other major industry conferences (ITW and PTC). In some cases we were able to avoid travel to other countries to have these meetings ? saving time and reducing costs. The timing, being close to year-end, also provided us with a good opportunity to discuss upcoming plans and strategies with our partners.
